About Zeghrine Equestrian Club
Zeghrine Equestrian Club offers a wide range of activities in a professional setting, the club was founded in 1998 and is located at 950m altitude, surrounded by natural forests and agricultural terraces, while overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, 30 km northeast of Beirut, near the town of Bikfaya. Zeghrine Equestrian Club offers spacious and aerated stables for approximately 30 private and school horses. The fresh climate and clean atmosphere provides a healthy environment for both horses and riders throughout the year. The horses are professionally kept and taken care of by international and local specialists.
Horseback riding takes place in two arenas of different sizes that are ideal for any kind or level of riding. The vast size of the larger arena allows for jumping training and competitions while spectators can enjoy watching the riding from a generously sized stand. The smaller arena is ideal for lunging and children’s or beginner’s lessons and can even be used for flat work during rainy weather conditions. Indoor and outdoor seating areas with barbecue facilities provide space for social activities in a relaxing atmosphere.
Safety for humans and animals is the club's motto for all activities around the horse. Therefore the club always seeks to achieve a calm atmosphere that stimulates concentrated and productive learning and wants to convey respect and love for the animal and its particular behavior. Horses are carefully chosen, so young riders have a chance to learn this sport confidently. Other than riding lessons the teachers educate the riders with knowledge around the horse on a theoretical level. Group and private lessons are offered for all age groups and levels from beginners to the very experienced riders in dressage and jumping, starting from the age of 6 years. The club arranges for full equestrian days with groups of school children, providing them with lessons around the horse as well as a day in nature and fresh climate.
